Description
Fused glass curved free-standing hand-painted oranges and foliage panel with orange background, inspired by a stay in Sicily.
The panel looks especially effective in front of a light source it and, being curved, you could place a tea light behind it. The appearance and colours of this piece vary according to the light and time of day.
I created an original design for this piece, following a holiday in beautiful Sicily and this piece brings some of the lovely Italian sunshine wherever it goes! I started with a clear piece of glass and coloured this with pumpkin orange glass powder and fired it for the first time. Then I added the colouring of the oranges and leaves using enamel glass paint and fired it again. Finally I added black enamel paint to outline the design and fired the piece once more.
Each one of these panels is hand-painted, so will vary a little in appearance. If you would like to see photos of the panel(s) I have in stock before ordering, please just ask.
